As four members of the group BTS reportedly prepare to begin their mandatory military service, their label is calling on fans to refrain from visiting the recruit training center on the day of their induction.

BigHit Music, the home label of BTS, announced Tuesday that members RM (Kim Nam-joon, 29), V (Kim Tae-hyung, 28), Jimin (Park Ji-min, 28), and Jungkook (Jeon Jung-kook, 26) “are enlisting in Army service to fulfill their military service obligations.”

“RM and V will be enlisting according to their respective procedures, while Jimin and Jung Kook are scheduled to enlist together,” it explained.

The label stressed that there would be “no official event on the day of their entry.”

“The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site,” it said.

The company asked fans to “convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only.”

These inductions mean that all seven members of BTS will have begun their military service.

The first of them to enter Army service was senior member Jin (Kim Seok-jin, 31), who began in December of last year. He is currently a recruit training center assistant instructor affiliated with the 5th Infantry Division.

Following a previous early promotion to corporal last July, Jin was reportedly promoted once again recently to sergeant. He is scheduled to be discharged in June of next year.

Following him into Army service last April was J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok, 29), who is presently an assistant instructor at the 36th Infantry Division’s recruit training battalion in Wonju, Gangwon Province.

Suga (Min Yoon-gi, 30), who joined in September, is now undergoing basic military training and serving as a social service agent.

“Sounds like the rest of the members are enlisting. I can’t stop crying,” Jin wrote in a post on a fan community on Monday about the news. “I hope time flies and I’ll be able to spend good times with the rest of the gang and Army.”

The label is hoping to jump back into BTS activities as an ensemble sometime after June 2025, once all four of the members now enlisting have completed their service.

“We ask for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook until they complete their military service and return,” BigHit Music said.
